Igor zostaje w Garches…
Film zrobił na mnie wielkie wrażenie. Cudowne kostiumy, muzyka, obsada i gra aktorska.
Chciałabym wszystkim zainteresowanym modą i jej historią polecić ten film. Jestem ciekawa jakie będą Wasze odczucia i ulubione sceny. Ja swoja już mam…
A tymczasem zdjęcia z pewnego słonecznego, wiosennego dnia.
Recently I've seen The Coco Chanel & Igor Strawinski movie. Set in the 1913, introduces Igor Strawinski, russian composer, pianist and conductor, shows his controversial play 'The spring's celebration'. Coco finds herself in a small amount of people who likes this musical revolution. Far more, she's so delighted and fascinated, that when she meets him 7 years later, she invites him with his family to her new villa in Garches, so that he could focus on his work. Between the two of them grows a strong feeling. Their romance, aknowledged and accepted by Igor's wife (Katarina), has an unexpected effort on lover's works. Coco starts creating with Ernest Beaux, the perfumer, legendary scent of Channel No. 5. Not so long after that, composer's wife moves out, taking aside ther children. Igor remains in Garches.
The film made a great impression on me. Wonderful costumes, music, line-up and it's play. Comparing to The Coco avant Chanel I have to admit, that it much better shows the spirit of those times, but that's just my opinion. Astute eye shall notice, that it's kind of continuation to the previous story, becauce 'Coco avant Chanel' ends with the death of Arthur Capel (Coco's lover) and 'Coco Chanel & Igor Strawinski' stars with the shocking spectacle, on which the designer appears with Arthur, who, shortly after this event, dies in an accident. The film is, for me, a picture of a passion so eventful, full of emotions, completely based on a physical aspects and mutual adoration. Pianist's wife also brought my attention, her acquiescence to his betrayal and a great love that she felt for him was amazing.
I'd like to recommend this film to all fashion-interested people, who are also curious about Coco. I wonder how would You all feel about the picture and which scenes would You embrace the most. I've already got mine.
Meanwhile, here's some photos from one sunny spring day.
